Summary: This is the second volume, published in book form, of the online encyclopedia of New Zealand, entitled Te Ara. This volume "deals with the different groups who have settled since 1800, from the English and Scots through to recent migrants from the Pacific, Asia and the Middle East. Seven articles provide background to the settlement of these peoples in New Zealand, including the way settlers have become New Zealanders.
