Hiko Hohepa was a gentle, softly spoken amn with an encyclopaedic knowledge of Te Awara whakapapa and a respected authority in many other areas including te reo Maori, whaikorero, moteatea, karakia and tikange. he was much nore than a rangatirs, he left a lasting impression on many people.
